Eijirou was orphaned at a fairly young age. After being passed from family to family, he never really had the chance to form a close bond with any parental figure due to the fear of abandonment.
While he isn't proud of it, Eijirou lives alone in a rented apartment and jumps from one part-time job to another. The feeling of independence is nice sometimes, but he's extremely lonely. (This loneliness makes him clingy, particularly to Bakugou for some reason)
